Design Office Chief - Hotel & Residential Project

About the role

Bureau Veritas is looking for a Design Office Chief to coordinate and review integrated design and engineering deliverables for a large hotel and residential project in Turkey. The role supports multidisciplinary design quality, local approvals, technical coordination and resolution of design issues throughout implementation. It is based in Izmir, Cese, with project and site visits as required, for a 30-month assignment with expected mobilization in November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate architectural, civil, structural, MEP and specialist design interfaces to ensure coherent project documentation.
• Review drawings, specifications, calculations and technical submissions for completeness, consistency and constructability.
• Support the preparation, submission and comment resolution of documents.
• Use AutoCAD, Revit and BIM workflows to review design coordination and support issue resolution.
• Evaluate design revisions, clarify technical queries and help control the impact of changes on other disciplines.
• Provide technical clarification during construction and coordinate responses between designers and the site supervision team.
• Maintain design review registers, approval tracking and records of technical decisions.

Required profile

• University degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in integrated design and/or engineering of large institutional projects in Turkey.
• Fluency in English.
• Strong multidisciplinary coordination, technical review, document control and communication skills.
