Desktop Support Engineer (L1) – Istanbul

About the role

We are looking for a proactive L1 Desktop Support Engineer to provide first‑level technical assistance and manage IT assets across multiple locations in Istanbul. You will join Excis, a global IT support leader, and work in a collaborative, family‑like environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑level technical support, resolve incidents and keep customers informed.
• Install, upgrade and troubleshoot Windows operating systems (XP, 7, 8.1, 10) and authorized applications such as Microsoft Office 2010 and Cisco Jabber.
• Provide basic support for macOS and Apple PC users.
• Install, upgrade and maintain printers, computers, laptops and other peripherals.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and remedial repairs on hardware.
• Use diagnostic tools to resolve network connectivity and workstation performance issues.
• Collaborate with third‑party vendors, especially for audio/visual systems.
• Maintain accurate ticket updates in the help‑desk system and adhere to SLA timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• CompTIA A+ and/or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification.
• Minimum 18 months of hands‑on IT support experience.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset with ability to multitask.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work off‑hours or weekends when required.
