Europe General Ledger Accountant

About the role

RINA is seeking a Europe General Ledger Accountant to join its Finance Management Division in Turkey. The role supports both accounts receivable and payable functions while providing essential general ledger assistance. It offers a solid foundation for developing accounting expertise across multiple companies.

Key responsibilities

• Book GL transactions in the accounting software for several entities.
• Collaborate with AP and AR teams to allocate, post and reconcile payable and receivable accounts.
• Assist the AP Accountant in tracking purchase requisition approvals and purchase order receipts.
• Manage accruals, fixed‑asset schedules and IFRS 16 schedules.
• Issue, book and reconcile intercompany invoices (sales and purchases).
• Prepare month‑end and year‑end reports and follow the Group calendar closure process.
• Support the Tax Accountant in preparing VAT and other tax returns.
• Participate in financial standards setting, forecasting and departmental goal setting.
• Identify errors, suggest efficiency improvements and review accounting systems and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration or Finance Management.
• University graduate with accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting procedures and legislation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and solid English communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight schedules and deliver accurate results.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
