Faculty Member – Research & Teaching Position

About the role

Gebze Technical University (GTU) seeks outstanding academics to join its faculty as a Faculty Member. The position is full‑time, on‑campus, and focuses on building a strong, internationally competitive research program while delivering high‑quality undergraduate and graduate education.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and sustain an independent research agenda with international visibility.
• Conduct independent and collaborative research, publish in peer‑reviewed journals, and develop competitive research proposals.
• Secure national and international research funding.
• Supervise MSc and PhD students and mentor early‑career researchers.
• Design, develop, and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses.
• Participate in departmental, interdisciplinary, and institutional academic activities.
• Build collaborations with international academic partners, industry, and research organizations.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong record of high‑quality peer‑reviewed publications appropriate to career stage.
• Demonstrated ability to create an independent, sustainable research program with international impact.
• Experience in supervising graduate students and teaching at the university level.
