Field Service Engineer - Water Treatment (Turkey)

About the role

Veolia's Water Technologies team in Middle East & Africa is looking for a Field Service Engineer to act as its primary service provider, solving complex water and process challenges. The engineer is responsible for on-site performance of chemical treatment programmes, including testing, troubleshooting and customer support for major accounts in the assigned area, mainly the southeastern region of Turkey. Candidates living in the Adana, Iskenderun or Gaziantep region are preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct chemical testing and programme follow-up on site, and troubleshoot first line for cooling, boiler, water and wastewater applications
• Carry out site surveys and start-up and commissioning of dosing systems, and diagnose issues for larger repairs with the technical team
• Perform pilot and field trials, minor assembly work and regular site inspections
• Generate customer reports and process data, monitor stock levels, order chemicals on time and review injection rates
• Maintain communication with customers and the Site Representative, collaborate with the local team and support the Account Manager in business reviews
• Follow technical training for operation engineers, propose value-added ideas and comply with EHS policies, reporting incidents and near misses

Required profile

• BSc in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry
• 1-3 years of professional experience; water and process treatment chemicals experience is a plus
• Fluent written and spoken English, Turkish mother tongue
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel frequently to customer sites
• Preferably military service completed or at least 2 years postponed

• Organised, flexible and able to work independently and in a team
