Finance Manager – Istanbul

About the role

We are establishing a new logistics hub in Istanbul and need a Finance Manager to build a robust finance function from the ground up. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and provide financial insights for strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, annual and group financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB), Turkish GAAP and IFRS.
• Maintain governance and compliance structures, manage tax filings, transfer pricing and liaison with auditors, shareholders and regulatory authorities.
• Develop accounting policies, internal controls and reporting structures to support controlling, budgeting and KPI management.
• Lead, develop and discipline the local finance team while fostering collaboration with HQ and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Taxation (advanced degree preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of finance management experience, preferably in international retail or FMCG environments.
• Proven leadership and business partnering skills, with ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders.
• Native‑level Turkish, fluent English; German is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of SAP.
• In‑depth understanding of tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
