Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Financial Controller to join our local team in Istanbul. Reporting to both local leadership and the French headquarters, you will bridge statutory accounting with group‑level financial planning, reporting, and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly and year‑end closings, preparing adjusting entries, accruals, pre‑payments and provisions.
• Perform detailed trial‑balance and sub‑ledger reviews, ensuring consistency between local statutory records and group reporting.
• Prepare and submit periodic IFRS financial reporting packages to the French headquarters.
• Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and variance analysis in close coordination with HQ.
• Ensure compliance with Turkish tax legislation, oversee statutory declarations and identify financial/tax risks.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to evaluate operational risks, optimise internal controls and provide financial insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
• 4–5 years of progressive experience in financial control, general accounting, statutory reporting or audit (Big 4 background is a plus).
• Hands‑on experience with trial‑balance analysis and complex month‑end journal entries.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) for daily communication with France HQ.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish tax regulations and statutory accounting standards.
• Ability to work fully on‑site (5 days a week) in Başakşehir, Istanbul.
