Financial Controller

About the role

ASD Laminat is seeking a Financial Controller to own financial controlling activities, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost management, profitability analysis, internal controls, and cash flow management for its forest products business. The role connects financial performance with operational realities and provides actionable insights for business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end closing and produce timely management reports.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, analysing variances and recommending actions.
• Conduct product, customer, order and production‑line costing and profitability analyses.
• Oversee cost accounting, BOM accuracy, material consumption, scrap, standard cost variances and capacity utilisation.
• Supervise inventory counting and valuation for raw materials, WIP and finished goods, analysing variances.
• Establish and monitor internal control processes, including purchasing approvals and segregation of duties.
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Prepare a 13‑week rolling cash‑flow forecast and manage working capital, collections and bank facilities.
• Provide proactive financial insights, risk assessments and recommendations to management.
• Partner with finance and operational teams to evaluate financial impact of business decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, financial controlling or management accounting.
• Strong experience in cost accounting, product costing and profitability analysis.
• Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, month‑end closing and variance analysis.
• Hands‑on knowledge of BOM, standard costing, inventory, scrap/waste and capacity utilisation.
• Experience in cash‑flow and working‑capital management.
• Knowledge of Turkish financial and tax regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and business‑partnering skills.
• Advanced MS Excel skills; ERP and SAP Business 1 experience are a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
