Financial Controller

About the role

This Financial Controller supports Sales Teams by turning financial data into clear insights, monitoring budgets and commercial performance, and helping shape sales plans and budgets. The role also coordinates the annual business planning and budgeting process with Finance and Sales.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Sales Teams to identify growth opportunities, mitigate financial risks and improve profitability.
• Translate financial data into actionable insights and explain the story behind the numbers to Sales Teams and Senior Management.
• Monitor and control trade spend budgets and activities, evaluate investment effectiveness and identify margin improvements.
• Maintain and enhance promotional planning, including pre- and post-promotion profitability analysis.
• Turn the company's vision, strategy and guidelines into sales plans and budgets, and track performance against targets.
• Track and analyse Sales Team KPIs, investigate variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide ongoing financial guidance and training to Sales Teams, and assess the financial implications of day-to-day commercial decisions.
• Coordinate the annual business planning and budgeting process with Finance and Sales, and conduct ad hoc financial analyses.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in financial controlling or commercial finance.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail, data accuracy and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and cultures.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office, especially Excel; Power BI is an advantage.
• Practical use of AI-powered tools for financial analysis, reporting and process efficiency, with sound judgment on validating outputs and protecting confidential data.
• Strong financial and analytical skills, and excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
