Game Designer

About the role

Hypermonk Games is seeking a Game Designer to lead design on mobile titles from concept through launch and live operations. You will shape engaging mechanics and drive player retention for games with millions of downloads.

Key responsibilities

• Own game design across one or more mobile projects, including prototyping, launch, and live‑ops.
• Monitor market trends, generate game ideas and design compelling mechanics using modern mobile principles.
• Create, balance and tune game mechanics, difficulty, UI flow and levels in Unity.
• Iterate designs based on playtesting, feedback and live metrics.
• Analyze player behavior, retention and monetization data to make data‑driven decisions.
• Collaborate with developers, artists, product, growth and live‑ops teams to deliver high‑quality experiences.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional game design experience, preferably in mobile games.
• At least one shipped mobile title that is live‑operated.
• Strong understanding of mobile design principles, player engagement and game mechanics.
• Analytical mindset with ability to use data to improve game experiences.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Unity Game Engine.
• Experience with game balancing, progression systems, economies or monetization.
