Game Developer Intern - Unity (Paid Long-Term)

About the role

Hiroba Games is looking for a Game Developer Intern with hands-on Unity experience to contribute to mobile game development. This is a paid internship from day one, with mentorship and the chance to build a longer-term career with the team. The internship is open to final-year undergraduates from any major.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve gameplay mechanics and features using Unity and C# under the guidance of experienced developers
• Work with designers and artists to integrate game assets, animations and UI into playable experiences
• Test gameplay, investigate bugs and help resolve technical issues
• Contribute to game polish, controls and player interactions
• Write readable, maintainable code and learn to use version control in a team
• Take part in code reviews, team discussions and development planning

Required profile

• Final-year undergraduate student from any major interested in a long-term opportunity
• Comfortable building basic gameplay in Unity with C#; coursework, personal projects and game jams count
• Strong interest in games and curiosity about how they are built
• Thoughtful problem-solving, willingness to ask questions and learn from feedback
• Good communication and collaboration skills, good command of English
• Availability to work on-site in Ankara at least 2 days per week

Required skills

• Unity fundamentals: scenes, GameObjects, components, prefabs and the Inspector
• Basic object-oriented programming
• Nice to have: Unreal Engine and Blueprints or C++, a playable project or game jam submission, basic Git, Unity UI/animations/physics, mobile game testing
