Group Sales & Events Executive

About the role

The Group Sales & Events Executive works within the Sales & Marketing department of a luxury hotel in Istanbul. The role focuses on driving catering, banquet, and group bookings, managing corporate and travel‑agency accounts, and achieving revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and solicit new and existing customers through calls, correspondence, and personal visits.
• Arrange appointments, conduct site inspections, and present proposals to corporate and agency accounts.
• Negotiate contracts and send offers for catering and group business.
• Monitor sales results, propose corrective actions, and report on sales activities.
• Gather market intelligence on new projects, business centres, and agency structures to create opportunities.
• Entertain client decision‑makers in hotel F&B outlets and support promotional events.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date customer database (OPERA) and generate detailed sales call reports.
• Cross‑sell other Kempinski properties locally and globally.
• Respond to all inquiries within 24 hours and follow up on past, potential, and current client files.
• Collaborate with the sales team to meet personal and team revenue goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in group sales, banquet, or events within the hospitality sector.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities with corporate and travel‑agency clients.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and achieve sales targets.
• Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple client files and promotional activities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the OPERA hotel property management system.
