Hardware Solution Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Hardware Solution Engineer to join a global engineering team that delivers complex railway signalling hardware. You will translate technical requirements into robust hardware designs, support product development, and work closely with multidisciplinary, multinational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of signalling system hardware, including track layout, equipment, wiring, and power systems for CTC and trackside installations.
• Define architectural requirements and create engineering site‑installation plans.
• Coordinate with the Project Design Authority to ensure top‑down solution layout aligns with hardware strategy and constraints.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering on co‑engineering activities and maintain hardware architecture from bidding through delivery.
• Validate technical and methodological choices for the signalling hardware architecture.
• Ensure compliance with standards, reuse policies and product development plans.
• Install signalling hardware components in a controlled manner to verify design performance and interactions.
• Present hardware designs directly to customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Electronics, Computer or Control Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in railway signalling systems (new graduates with strong interest may also be considered).
• Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Strong communication, coordination, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Team player with adaptability to multicultural and complex environments.
