Import Coordinator

About the role

Decathlon, which has been connecting people with sport since 1976 and now operates over 55 stores and online platforms in Turkey, is looking for an Import Coordinator to join its Transport & Customs Team. The role optimises and manages import processes for worldwide trade while ensuring on-time availability at the best cost.

Key responsibilities

• Manage international transport and customs operations end to end to ensure timely, quality product flow
• Forecast, organise and debrief import and export activity
• Follow up customs clearance procedures in the customs zone of origin and destination
• Measure and manage the performance of logistics service providers
• Ensure the local charges of purchase and sales prices
• Give technical advice to supply and production teams and suggest actions to improve economic performance
• Manage import zones and local exports
• Prepare and follow up monthly KPIs

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in international trade, business management or a related field
• 2-3 years of experience in global trade, logistics, importation or international transportation
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Strong organisation, priority management and adaptability
• Proactive, practical and challenge-oriented, with team spirit and excellent communication skills
• Interest in sustainable logistics (carbon footprint, CO2 reduction)
