Interior Trim Design Engineer

About the role

Design interior trim solutions for new and existing vehicle models, ensuring aesthetic appeal, functionality, and compliance with safety and ergonomic standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop interior trim concepts, select materials, colors and production methods.
• Create 3D models, technical drawings and comprehensive documentation.
• Conduct feasibility, economic and engineering studies for new designs.
• Evaluate fire safety, sound insulation, hygiene, lighting, ventilation and passenger comfort.
• Define production processes such as injection molding, vacuum forming, RTM, hand lay‑up.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in automotive interior engineering design – trim.
• Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of interior design regulations, ergonomics and material science.
• Willingness to reside in Adana or Istanbul.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in CATIA.
• Experience with CAD/CAM tools such as NX and SolidWorks.
• Problem‑solving and analytical thinking.
• High communication skills and solution‑oriented approach.
