Internal Audit Senior Manager

About the role

Marsh Türkiye is looking for an Internal Audit Senior Manager to join its management team in the Istanbul office. Marsh operates a Three Lines of Defence model: the first line (business management) owns risks and controls, the second line (risk management and compliance) sets the framework and oversees them, and the third line (Internal Audit) gives independent assurance to the Board and management on governance, risk management and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute risk-based audits, test control design and operating effectiveness, and deliver the annual risk and regulatory audit plan
• Carry out local audits required by the regulator, working with management to define scope, risks and techniques, including data analytics
• Communicate issues and root causes clearly, track timely remediation and influence the business by agreeing actions and delivering the final audit report
• Support the risk assessment process and the development of the annual audit plan
• Lead internal audits and special projects, including interviews, testing and report preparation
• Build strong relationships with business teams and other support functions, and present to the management team
• Contribute to resource planning, budget oversight and staff development, including recruiting, training, mentoring and performance feedback

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in law, accounting, finance or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in audit, preferably in the insurance sector
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Team player, with advanced communication, presentation and training skills
• Sound knowledge of audit methods and internal control concepts, and ability to assess business and technology risks

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications
• Experience presenting complex or sensitive information to senior stakeholders
• Comfortable working with technology solutions and AI tools
