Internal Audit Specialist

About the role

DeFacto is seeking an Internal Audit Specialist to conduct operational, financial and compliance audits in line with International Internal Auditing Standards. You will support management by delivering actionable recommendations and ensuring audit findings are addressed promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Perform audits according to the annual audit plan, covering operational, financial and compliance areas.
• Prepare internal audit reports for Executive Management and the Audit Committee.
• Provide consultancy, follow‑up on action plans, and ensure timely implementation of recommendations.
• Conduct ad‑hoc audits and assist in special investigations as required.

Required profile

• University degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in internal or external audit, preferably with a Big Four firm.
• Fluent English with strong business writing and verbal communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, patient, team‑player, result‑driven and quick learner.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of SAP and Axapta (asset).
• Strong data analytics capabilities.
