Internal Control Officer – Digital Assets & Crypto

About the role

Ceffu is seeking an Internal Control Officer to support the Board in Turkey, focusing on monitoring internal processes, controls, and compliance for its digital‑asset custody platform.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute risk‑based internal control plans and report findings to senior management and governance bodies.
• Perform continuous control activities across custody operations, asset safeguarding, reconciliations, transaction flows, onboarding, access rights, incident management and record‑keeping.
• Test the effectiveness of controls required under SPK, MASAK, information‑systems and internal‑governance rules, including authority matrices and segregation‑of‑duties.
• Assess controls addressing operational, financial, compliance, technology, cybersecurity and AML/CFT risks, especially in high‑risk areas.
• Coordinate internal and external control reviews, support regulatory inspections and provide control evidence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, information systems, computer engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in internal control, internal audit, compliance monitoring, operational risk or information‑systems control.
• Strong understanding of internal‑control frameworks such as COSO and the Three Lines Model.
• Knowledge of Turkish regulatory requirements (SPK, MASAK), AML/CFT legislation and FATF recommendations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with COSO and Three Lines Model frameworks.
• Familiarity with COBIT and ISO 27001 control standards.
• Experience in risk assessment, control design, testing and remediation reporting.
