IT Infrastructure & Operations Specialist

About the role

We are a creative software development company seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure & Operations Specialist to manage and optimise our on‑premise and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor on‑premise servers, Azure resources and database servers, ensuring availability, performance and security.
• Administer Windows Server, IIS, MSSQL Server and Microsoft 365/Entra ID environments, handling user accounts, licences and security policies.
• Configure firewalls, VPNs, network access and security settings; oversee backup and disaster‑recovery processes.
• Support ISO 27001 information‑security controls, maintain asset inventories and assist during audits.
• Provide IT support to employees, handle onboarding/offboarding, and coordinate with external providers.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration or IT operations.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with full ownership of IT operations.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with users, management and external providers.
• Fluent written and spoken English; no military service obligations for male candidates.

• IIS administration (sites, app pools, SSL, performance)
• MSSQL Server operations (backup/restore, maintenance, monitoring)
• Microsoft Azure (VMs, networking, storage, monitoring, cost management)
• Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, licensing, MFA)
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs), firewalls and VPNs
• Backup and disaster‑recovery solutions
• PowerShell scripting and automation
• Endpoint management tools such as Intune (plus)
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and supporting security audits (plus)
