Key Account Manager – Surgery

About the role

The Key Account Manager, Surgery will drive sales growth and expand market share for BD's surgical portfolio across the assigned territory. You will build and maintain strategic relationships with surgeons, hospital administrators and procurement teams to ensure successful product adoption and achieve business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic account plans to meet sales targets and increase market share for surgical products.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision‑makers, including surgeons, hospital administrators and procurement teams.
• Present and demonstrate the surgical product portfolio, highlighting features, benefits and value propositions.
• Negotiate and close sales contracts while adhering to company pricing policies.
• Provide post‑sale support, product training and troubleshooting to ensure optimal customer experience.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer feedback to identify new opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal marketing, clinical and customer service teams to execute sales strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions, sales activities and forecasts in the CRM system.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of successful sales experience in medical devices or healthcare, preferably surgical sales.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong understanding of the surgical environment, hospital operations and procurement processes.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
