Lead Warehouse Specialist

About the role

This role coordinates warehouse operations end to end, ensuring smooth material flow, high inventory accuracy and storage optimisation. It also leads the digital transformation of warehouse processes, including lean methodologies, digitalisation, AI integration and automation, so that materials reach production lines and customers on time. The position is based in Gebze.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and company safety policies, and coach and train warehouse staff.
• Develop and implement warehouse procedures, work instructions and best practices.
• Manage non-conforming materials, quarantine areas and material traceability, and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Take part in daily QCDM meetings representing the warehouse team, and attend lean, kaizen and loss-analysis projects.
• Keep materials available for production and dispatch, and manage layout, storage systems and space use.
• Drive continuous improvement on productivity, lead time and process standardisation.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with internal and external stakeholders, and monitor inventory through cycle counts, audits and stock reconciliation.
• Support ERP/WMS transactions, track and report KPIs such as inventory accuracy and on-time delivery, and make Gemba tours to act on abnormalities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, materials management or logistics in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with digital transformation, AI or automation in warehouse and inventory management.
• Ability to live in Istanbul or Kocaeli.
• Desired: independent work, strong motivation to lead change, excellent communication and organisational skills, and a customer-oriented, quality-focused approach.

Required skills

• Familiarity with SAP or other warehouse management ERPs.
• Good understanding of health, safety and quality standards in industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong English oral and written skills.
