Legal Counsel

About the role

IKEA Türkiye is hiring a Legal Counsel for its Service Office. The role ensures that the company acts in line with the relevant legislation and advises IKEA Türkiye and its group companies on legal matters. It reports to the Legal Counsel Group Leader.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out legal research and respond to legal queries from enforcement offices and company departments
• Provide legal advice and analysis on corporate law, labor law, real estate law, intellectual property law, consumer law, enforcement law, corporate issues and commercial transactions
• Negotiate, draft, review and analyse commercial contracts such as purchase and sale, supply, maintenance and other operational agreements
• Carry out compliance projects and follow up new local legislation
• Prepare corporate documents such as board decisions and general assembly meeting documents, and prepare reports, legal opinions and memoranda
• Ensure communication with external law firms and provide legal assistance as required

Required profile

• Minimum 3-4 years of legal experience
• Bachelor's degree in Law
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Male candidates must have completed their military service
