Associate - Corporate & Data Privacy

About the role

A firm is looking for an Associate to join its Corporate Law and Commercial Litigation department. The role covers a wide range of practice areas, offers opportunities for professional development and is part of a friendly, well-structured team. The position is based in Maslak, Sarıyer, Istanbul (Park Plaza); after six months a hybrid work model can be adopted.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal assistance to client business units as requested.
• Advise clients on the legal and regulatory aspects of their business operations and projects.
• Assist clients with trade registry procedures and corporate filings, including preparing and submitting applications and documents.
• Represent clients before courts and administrative authorities.
• Take part in drafting, reviewing and executing agreements, policies, procedures and notices.
• Carry out legal research for advisory matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in law from a reputable university; LL.M. is an asset.
• At least 3-4 years of post-qualification experience, excluding the legal internship.
• Experience in contracts law, data protection law (KVKK and GDPR), commercial law and trade registry procedures.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong oral, written and interpersonal communication in English and Turkish.
• Research, analysis and reporting skills, consistent deadline management and a strong work ethic.
• No military obligation for male candidates is preferred; no travel restriction.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• UYAP and preferably Attornaid.
