Legal Leader - Turkey

About the role

A workforce solutions company is seeking an experienced Legal Leader to oversee the legal function for Turkey. This is a highly visible leadership role for a commercially minded legal professional who acts as a strategic advisor and key partner to regional stakeholders, influencing business decisions and safeguarding the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the lead legal advisor and partner with the Country Leadership Team on strategic business initiatives and organizational priorities.
• Provide commercially focused legal counsel on employment law, corporate governance, compliance, data privacy, litigation and contractual matters.
• Lead complex contract negotiations and support business growth initiatives.
• Anticipate, assess and mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
• Oversee litigation and external counsel relationships.
• Drive a culture of ethics, integrity, compliance and responsible business conduct.
• Collaborate with regional and global legal teams on cross-border matters and strategic projects.

Required profile

• Law degree and admission to the Turkish Bar.
• Significant experience in an in-house legal leadership role and/or a leading law firm.
• Fluency in English.
• Experience in an international and matrix organization is highly valued.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in employment law, commercial law, corporate law, compliance and contract management.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
