Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Sika AG is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to develop and implement preventative maintenance programs, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency across its production facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a preventative maintenance program for all equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment issues promptly.
• Manage maintenance schedules, repairs, and improvements for HVAC, compressors, pumps, motors, and production machinery.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with production to minimize disruption.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance actions and safety checks.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis on failures and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor spare‑parts inventory and ensure critical components are available.
• Collaborate with external vendors for specialized repairs and ensure contract compliance.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Identify and recommend process and equipment upgrades for reliability and efficiency.

Required profile

• Graduated from Electrical‑Electronics, Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Qualified engineer with electrical and/or mechanical background.
• Strong analytical, teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and under pressure.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• Good command of English.
