Makam Şoförü (Executive Chauffeur)

About the role

MeriteX is looking for a full-time, on-site Makam Şoförü (executive chauffeur) based in Istanbul. The role provides safe, timely and professional transportation for company leadership and guests, working closely with administrative staff to confirm schedules and adapt to last-minute changes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan routes and monitor traffic and weather conditions
• Pick up and drop off punctually, and assist passengers when needed
• Keep vehicles clean, well maintained and fueled, and log trips and maintenance
• Handle confidential information with discretion and coordinate with administrative staff
• Work occasional extended hours, early mornings, evenings or weekends depending on leadership schedules

Required profile

• Proven experience as a chauffeur, executive driver or similar, preferably supporting senior leadership
• Valid Turkish driver's license with an excellent driving record and thorough knowledge of Istanbul's roads and traffic
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in professional driving or security is an advantage
• Comfortable communicating in Turkish; English is an asset

Required skills

• Defensive driving and strict adherence to traffic laws
• Professional communication and customer service, with discretion around executives and visitors
• Basic vehicle upkeep and coordination of servicing and repairs
• Familiarity with navigation tools and mobile apps (GPS, mapping apps, messaging apps)
