Marketing Controller

About the role

The Marketing Controller supports the preparation of marketing and trade marketing business plans, tracks financial performance, and provides reporting to headquarters. Reporting directly to the FP&A Manager, the role works closely with the marketing team and budget owners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly marketing accruals, close month‑end activities and prepare P&L and balance‑sheet commentary dashboards.
• Collect, validate and enter business‑plan data, manage planning timelines and challenge budget assumptions.
• Analyze marketing budget performance, build financial simulations and present insights to country management.
• Review and approve marketing agreements, ensure compliance and resolve issues with commercial, legal and procurement partners.

Required profile

• Degree qualified, accounting qualification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of controlling experience in consumer goods.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Strong analytical mindset, able to identify risks and propose alternatives.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel.
• Familiarity with integrated business analysis tools such as SAP BI or Hyperion.
• Experience with Concur posting and internal order management.
