Mechanical Design Team Leader

About the role

A global pioneer in the high-tech entertainment and amusement industry, which develops motion platforms, virtual reality experiences and interactive attractions, is looking for a Mechanical Design Team Leader. The successful candidate leads product development, optimizes designs, supports sales technically and oversees manufacturing and validation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute projects modifying existing products or developing new ones from start to finish.
• Refine part designs from concept through to the final product, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, dimensions and functionality.
• Provide technical expertise to the Sales Department on products developed for international projects.
• Carry out design studies and feasibility reports to meet sales and client needs.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal workflows.
• Run mechanical and structural testing and validation protocols, and prepare manufacturing drawings, assembly guides and integration documentation.
• Assess component manufacturability, monitor production when needed and resolve non-conformities.
• Use ERP project management modules for cost analysis and strategic reports to senior management.
• Represent the technical team in presentations and technical discussions in English.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Solid experience leading a small team of Mechanical Design Engineers.
• Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in mechanical and sheet metal design.
• Excellent command of written and verbal English is highly preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced expertise in technical drawing standards and interpretation.
• Expert-level proficiency in Siemens NX, SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Preferred: familiarity with simulation and analysis software such as ADAMS or ANSYS.
