Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Technical Draftsman

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Technical Draftsman to join our R&D team. The role ensures that designed parts of precision scientific instruments are accurately produced, fit together flawlessly, and meet all functional requirements from concept to manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare 3D/2D technical and assembly drawings in SolidWorks, respecting tolerances and deadlines.
• Perform interference and tolerance analyses to guarantee proper fit of mating parts.
• Select appropriate materials (aluminum, stainless steel, engineering plastics) and surface treatments.
• Create and maintain complete Bills of Materials for designed instruments.
• Monitor manufacturing stages (CNC, lathe, milling) and conduct dimensional checks using precision measuring tools.

Required profile

• Graduated in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in mechanical design and/or manufacturing.
• Strong analytical approach and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to follow up on manufacturing results and work closely with the workshop.

Required skills

• SolidWorks – Part, Assembly, and Drawing modules.
• Advanced technical drawing preparation, dimensioning, tolerancing, and GD&T.
• Knowledge of machining processes (CNC milling, turning, lathe).
• Material expertise – aluminum, stainless steel, steel, engineering plastics.
• Use of precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, comparators).
• Interference and tolerance analysis.
