Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Neapco, a global provider of driveline solutions for commercial and heavy‑duty vehicles, is expanding its Operations team in Eskişehir. The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will lead preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities on a wide range of production equipment, ensuring high reliability and availability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and execute preventive, predictive and corrective mechanical maintenance programs.
• Diagnose mechanical failures on production equipment and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical support during machine breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Maintain machining, assembly and other manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication and power‑transmission systems.
• Perform root‑cause analysis for recurring failures and develop permanent improvement actions.
• Plan and follow up periodic maintenance according to established plans.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory, identifying critical items and ensuring appropriate stock levels.
• Coordinate external maintenance services and monitor supplier activities.
• Support installation, commissioning and ramp‑up of new machines and production equipment.
• Monitor KPIs such as downtime, MTBF, MTTR and preventive‑maintenance performance.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in automotive or manufacturing environments.
• Strong experience with CNC machines, machining lines and assembly equipment.
• Proven ability to conduct failure analysis, root‑cause analysis and preventive maintenance.
• Experience with maintenance management systems and planning tools.
• Completed military service (for male candidates) and a valid B‑class driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication system maintenance.
• Power‑transmission, bearings, pumps, gearboxes and conveyor maintenance.
• Mechanical maintenance of CNC machines and machining lines.
• Root‑cause analysis and reliability improvement methodologies (TPM, predictive maintenance).
• Maintenance planning and spare‑parts management.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
