About the role
The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of all auxiliary plant equipment within the factory. You will lead maintenance activities, support emergency interventions, and drive continuous improvement projects such as Kaizen, product safety, and occupational health and safety initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine and corrective maintenance on auxiliary plant machinery to guarantee operational reliability.
- Lead fault interventions and provide rapid response to mechanical emergencies.
- Participate in improvement projects (Kaizen, product safety, OHS) and take ownership of their execution.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on performance indicators and targets related to equipment uptime.
- Identify recurring failures, develop preventive maintenance plans, and implement corrective actions.
- Contribute to investment planning studies for new machinery, equipment, and systems.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent written and spoken English proficiency.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance department.
