Maintenance Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Team Leader to oversee the reliability and performance of our plant’s mechanical and electrical assets. The role involves leading a diverse team of technicians and tradespeople in a fast‑paced industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor and set performance objectives for a team of maintenance professionals, including skilled trades, apprentices and operational technicians.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, safety and accountability across the maintenance department.
• Direct installation, maintenance, repair and dismantling of large‑scale industrial equipment and plant infrastructure.
• Oversee preventive, predictive and unscheduled maintenance programs for mechanical, electrical and mobile plant systems.
• Lead rapid troubleshooting and advanced equipment failure analyses to minimize production downtime.
• Evaluate plant infrastructure and recommend strategic capital improvements to boost equipment availability and production yield.
• Prepare detailed technical reports on equipment modifications, maintenance procedures and operational metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronics Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive maintenance experience in continuous manufacturing or heavy industrial settings.
• At least 3 years of proven managerial or team‑leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, industrial automation, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience with CMMS and/or SAP Plant Maintenance.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 standards.
