Medical Diagnostics Manager (Histopathology & Molecular)

About the role

AstraZeneca is looking for a Medical Diagnostics Manager within its Diagnostics area, based in Istanbul. The role works with histopathology and molecular diagnostics, collaborates closely with internal stakeholders such as Clinical Operations, Regulatory and Market Access, and adapts global strategy to the local market.

Key responsibilities

• Identify highly scientifically knowledgeable healthcare professionals (HCPs) in local testing practice and collaborate with them on activities that support the medico-marketing strategy.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders including Clinical Operations, Regulatory and Market Access, and adapt global strategy to the local market.
• Take part in international and global activities.
• Provide scientific updates to key opinion leaders (KEEs) and explain the relevance of the data to the scientific community.
• Build relationships with key external stakeholders such as patient advocacy groups, medical organisations and hospital pharmacies.
• Work with HCPs on scientific activities that advance diagnostics practice.
• Share with internal stakeholders an understanding of the local medical community, clinical practice, testing pathways, trends and gaps in current knowledge.
• Initiate and run field force training on current and emerging clinical data and trends in diagnostics and personalised medicine.
• Plan and execute global medical activities during product launches.

Required profile

• University degree from a Medical Faculty.
• At least 2 years of experience in the pharma sector, preferably in oncology and/or diagnostics.
• Knowledge of customer segments and market dynamics.
• Ability to discuss scientific content with multiple audiences, strong leadership and teamwork skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the regulatory environment.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel frequently; the position is based in Istanbul.
