Middleware Platform Engineer

About the role

Intertech is seeking a Middleware Platform Engineer to join its middleware team. You will work on middleware applications, Kubernetes platforms, and DevOps automation to improve operational efficiency, resource optimization, and system continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, monitor and upgrade middleware products such as Redis, RabbitMQ, Confluent Kafka/Flink, Layer7 and MuleSoft.
• Manage Kubernetes environments (OpenShift, Google Anthos), including cluster health, capacity, performance and resource optimization.
• Work with Service Mesh solutions (e.g., Gloo Mesh) and tools like ScaleOps for capacity planning.
• Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting and dashboard solutions using Dynatrace, Grafana, AppDynamics, etc.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks with Ansible, Bash/PowerShell, Jenkins, ArgoCD and related CI/CD/GitOps pipelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience with Linux operating systems.
• Strong background in container technologies, Kubernetes ecosystem and DevOps culture.
• Experience with middleware components and their operational lifecycle.
• Analytical thinker, detail‑oriented and able to perform root‑cause analysis.
