Ocean Freight Senior Operation Specialist

About the role

The Ocean Freight Senior Operation Specialist will manage day‑to‑day ocean freight shipments, ensuring compliance, efficiency and timely delivery across global routes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee ocean freight shipments from origin to destination, monitoring progress and addressing delays.
• Prepare and review shipping documentation such as bills of lading, invoices and customs declarations.
• Maintain accurate records for audits and act as the primary client contact for ocean freight operations.
• Build and sustain relationships with carriers, freight forwarders and logistics partners.
• Analyze operational processes, propose improvements and implement best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Logistics.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in ocean freight operations within a freight forwarding or logistics environment.
• Strong command of English and solid understanding of Incoterms, customs regulations and import documentation.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
