Oceangoing Chief Engineer

About the role

Ditaş Tankers, a member of Koç Group and operator of Turkey's largest Turkish-flagged tanker fleet since 1974, is looking for an Oceangoing Chief Engineer to join its growing fleet. Required profile

• University graduate in a Marine Engineering program.
• At least 1 year of sea service as Oceangoing Chief Engineer on chemical and/or oil tankers, with an Oceangoing Chief Engineer certificate of competency.
• At least 1 year of service as Second Engineer on tanker vessels before obtaining the Chief Engineer certificate.
• Experience in inventory control, vessel equipment tracking and requirements planning.
• Good command of Maritime English.
• Commitment to a long-term career with the company.

Required skills

• Experience with SIRE 2.0 and oil major vetting inspection processes.
• Proficiency in operating Health, Safety, Quality and Environment (HSQE) management systems.
• Sound knowledge of international maritime standards and regulations, including ISM, ISPS, STCW and MLC.
• Competence in training, teamwork and leadership.
• Knowledge of Nozzle, SAP or similar software is preferred.
