On-Prem Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

The On-Prem Infrastructure Engineer will support, maintain, and optimise enterprise datacenter infrastructure, ensuring stable, secure and high‑performing on‑premises environments for critical business applications.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, PKI, IIS and File & Print Services.
• Manage Hyper‑V and VMware vSphere/ESXi environments, including clusters, hosts, VMs, vCenter, HA, DRS and vMotion.
• Support SAN/NAS storage platforms (IBM FlashSystem, Dell PowerStore, NetApp, iSCSI, NFS, SMB) – provisioning, replication and performance optimisation.
• Partner with backup teams for restore validation, disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Monitor, patch, harden and tune servers, virtual machines and storage systems; provide 3rd‑level support for complex incidents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years hands‑on experience managing Windows Server environments in enterprise datacenters.
• 3+ years virtualization administration experience with Hyper‑V and/or VMware.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills; ability to participate in on‑call rotation.
