Operations Agent

About the role

Expeditors, a global logistics company headquartered in Seattle and a Fortune 500 employer of over 19,000 people, is hiring an Operations Agent. The role supports the smooth and timely operation of import and export processes, including customs declarations, data entry and client billing.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely operation process flow
• Enter data accurately and on time into the operational system
• Track and trace operation files and reporting
• Ensure accurate and timely client billing
• Understand the import and export customs desk-level operating procedure and use it to meet customer expectations
• Transfer customs declaration information from documents or other sources into the customs entry system so a valid declaration can be built
• Assist with verifying customs declaration information and submitting it to the customs authority
• Comply at all times with regulations

Required profile

• Experience in operations is a plus
• Understanding of ocean, road and air documentation processes
• Effective interpersonal skills and a proactive approach
• Strong organisational and computer skills
• Fluent in both English and Turkish

Required skills

• Good computer skills, including MS Excel and MS Word
