Operations Specialist

About the role

Abbott is seeking an Operations Specialist to support order processing and supply‑chain activities for its Core Diagnostics Division in Istanbul. You will act as the main liaison between distributors, internal teams and customers to ensure accurate, timely delivery of diagnostic products.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and monitor orders for assigned countries and distributors in SAP, handling IDOC processing and approvals.
• Resolve order discrepancies and coordinate back‑orders, product changes, and shipment schedules with planning, sales, and customer service teams.
• Support contract administration for instruments, rentals, and sales agreements.
• Serve as the primary contact for distributors regarding order status, delivery dates, invoicing and documentation.
• Collaborate with finance, customer service and supply‑chain functions on payment follow‑up, account reconciliation and complaint resolution.
• Track SAP system updates, ensure smooth implementation and maintain business continuity.
• Assist third‑party purchasing processes, including purchase orders, invoice tracking and supplier payments.
• Maintain customs and trade compliance documentation, such as bonded‑warehouse and import declarations.
• Prepare operational reports and provide relevant business information to management and cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in order management, customer service or logistics operations within a multinational environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Required skills

• SAP (order processing and IDOC handling).
• Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
