Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our Supply Chain Management team at the Istanbul headquarters of Karadeniz Holding. The role focuses on sourcing goods and services, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost‑efficiency across our diverse energy and shipbuilding operations.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase goods and services that meet quality, technical and cost requirements, following company procedures.
• Prepare and analyse price comparison tables and commercial conditions.
• Identify, evaluate and visit potential and existing suppliers to build strong partnerships.
• Develop alternative suppliers and materials to achieve cost and quality advantages.
• Coordinate between suppliers, manufacturers and internal departments, handling commercial issues proactively.
• Conduct cost‑down initiatives and negotiate contracts and prices for medium to large volumes.
• Establish and manage purchasing contracts, and report regularly to the Procurement Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Naval Architecture, etc.).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement processes.
• Fluent Turkish and English.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling high‑stress situations.
• Willingness to travel without restriction.

Required skills

• SAP procurement module.
• Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
