Procurement Specialist

About the role

Perfetti Van Melle, a multinational confectionery company with brands such as Vivident, Mentos, Chupa Chups and Big Babol, is hiring a Procurement Specialist for its Supply Chain Department. The post reports to the Procurement Manager and covers purchasing of direct goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase direct goods and services and carry out procurement in line with quality, quantity and time requirements.
• Make short- and long-term contracts with suppliers and monitor supplier performance against agreed terms.
• Handle day-to-day communication with suppliers and routine commercial matters, supporting operational issue resolution.
• Ensure stakeholder alignment and approval where required.
• Coordinate purchasing operations in line with SAP, create purchase orders with correct data and send them to vendors with the right documentation.
• Enrich and update the supplier portfolio through market analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or business administration.
• At least 2 years of procurement experience, preferably in the FMCG sector.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Strong communication, negotiation, analytical and reporting skills.
