Project Director - Large-Scale EPC Industrial Projects

About the role

Randstad Türkiye is recruiting, on behalf of its client, a Project Director to lead an EPC project for a company that executes large-scale industrial and turnkey projects. The role covers the full project life cycle, from engineering, procurement and construction through commissioning and handover to final delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the project from engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover to final delivery.
• Oversee scope, budget, schedule, quality standards and profitability targets.
• Monitor budgets, cost control, forecasts and cash flow.
• Develop and manage schedules, critical milestones and delay risks.
• Lead subcontractor selection, contract management, commercial negotiations and contractual discussions; monitor subcontractor performance, costs and obligations.
• Set up the project organisation and build the project teams.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams such as Construction, Technical Office, Planning, Procurement, Engineering, QA/QC and HSE.
• Manage risks, variations and potential claims.
• Report regularly to senior management on progress, budget, cost, schedule, risks and profitability.
• Maintain communication with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Support the company's commercial and operational objectives and remain open to future regional projects after the current assignment.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in large-scale EPC and turnkey industrial projects.
• Proven experience managing large projects end-to-end as Project Manager or Project Director.
• Background in fuel storage terminals, tank farms, energy, oil and gas, petrochemicals or similar; hands-on experience in fuel storage tanks and piping.
• Demonstrated success leading large, multidisciplinary teams and reporting to executive management.
• Fluent English, written and spoken; no restrictions on domestic or international travel; previous Middle East and/or North Africa experience preferred.
