Purchasing Specialist

About the role

The Grand Tarabya Managed by Accor, a historic 100-year-old hotel in Istanbul with 248 rooms, a spa and a ballroom, is looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join its procurement team. You will manage the complete purchasing cycle, from vendor selection through order fulfillment.

Key responsibilities

• Process and manage purchase orders accurately and on time, in line with company policy
• Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive prices and terms without compromising quality
• Analyse market trends, pricing data and supplier performance to optimise costs
• Maintain records of purchases, contracts and vendor communications for audit and compliance
• Work with internal departments, warehouse and operations teams to meet delivery needs and keep stock levels optimal
• Build strong vendor relationships and improve procurement processes to shorten cycle times
• Ensure compliance with policies, laws and regulations, and prepare reports on purchasing activity and vendor performance

Required profile

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain management
• Expertise in vendor management, supplier evaluation and contract negotiation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent English, written and spoken; Turkish is a plus
• Attention to detail and knowledge of supply chain principles
• Preferred: international procurement experience, knowledge of Turkish import/export regulations, and certification such as APICS or ASCM

Required skills

• Procurement software and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
• Advanced Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting
