Quality Assurance Specialist

About the role

The Quality Assurance Specialist will support Alshaya Group's Supply Chain & Procurement function, ensuring that suppliers and products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across the Eurasia region.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and qualify prospective suppliers, conducting manufacturing, ethical and security audits for Starbucks Turkey suppliers.
• Review and approve supplier audit reports, product testing results and follow up on corrective action plans.
• Conduct risk‑based audits of approved suppliers, plan product testing activities and monitor corrective actions.
• Manage product specifications, approvals and labeling for Starbucks Eurasia and Hospitality products.
• Provide regulatory guidance to the Import team during product approval and import processes.
• Investigate product‑related customer feedback, identify improvement opportunities and coordinate corrective/preventive actions.
• Ensure supplied products meet legal, brand, quality and food‑safety requirements and comply with Alshaya Group documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the food industry, preferably with operational/retail QA experience.
• Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes, GMPs, SOPs, HACCP/Food Safety, auditing and inspections.
• Knowledge of global and local food‑safety legislation and inspection requirements.
• Excellent written and spoken English and strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to multitask, pay close attention to detail and remain calm under pressure.
