Quality Control Specialist

About the role

FUCHS is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to join its Aliağa Plant in Izmir. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of raw materials, semi‑finished and finished products, as well as packaging, within a highly regulated laboratory environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection, testing, and analysis of all materials and products.
• Maintain, calibrate, and validate laboratory equipment and analytical instruments with full traceability.
• Identify quality risks, develop preventive action plans, and support CAPA and change control processes.
• Manage validation and verification of new and existing test methods.
• Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA) studies and calculate measurement uncertainty.
• Monitor emerging laboratory technologies and integrate suitable methods.
• Ensure ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation sustainability and lead scope‑extension activities.
• Maintain quality management documentation and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Perform supplier evaluations, quality audits, and investigate customer complaints.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a petrochemical laboratory.
• Upper‑intermediate English proficiency.
• Residency in Izmir, Turkey.
• Ability to work in a shift system and strong analytical mindset.

Required skills

• ISO 17025 technical knowledge.
• Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
• Measurement uncertainty and method validation.
• Experience with lubricants and additives.
• Proficiency in SAP, LIMS and MS Office.
• Spectrophotometric analysis expertise.
