Quality Controller (Packaging Artwork)

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Controller to ensure packaging artwork files meet the highest standards of accuracy, colour fidelity and print readiness. The role works closely with Artwork Operators and Project Managers to deliver error‑free files the first time.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed quality checks on digital packaging artwork, verifying content, colour, technical setup and printability.
• Review files against QA guidelines, client specifications and approved briefs, identifying and resolving issues before production.
• Proofread artwork content and ensure compliance with corporate and brand guidelines.
• Assess artwork against printer specifications, including copy size, line thickness, barcode sizing and other print parameters.
• Provide technical guidance to Artwork Operators and act as a reference for complex queries.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of client quality requirements and broader industry standards.
• Support implementation of quality and workflow procedures such as the Hero Process.
• Take ownership of workload, meet deadlines and contribute to a “right first time” culture.

Required profile

• Approximately 5 years of experience in artwork, prepress, print production or quality control.
• Ability to work independently and apply strong technical judgement.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong brand awareness.
• Proactive attitude toward identifying recurring issues and process improvements.

Required skills

• Adobe Acrobat
• Automation Engine (prepress workflow software)
• In‑depth knowledge of packaging prepress and printing processes
• Familiarity with colour management, barcode sizing and print specifications
