Quality Engineer – Manufacturing Plant

About the role

As a Quality Engineer at 3M's manufacturing plant in Çorlu, Tekirdağ, you will work on ensuring product and process quality while collaborating with global teams. The role blends customer‑focused quality management with continuous improvement of manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer quality topics, including claims, issues, and corrective‑preventive actions.
• Respond to customer inquiries on product specifications, complaints, and CAPA.
• Analyze internal and external quality problems using structured methods such as 8D, 5 Why, and Ishikawa.
• Develop, track, and report improvement and containment action plans.
• Support new product introductions and sustain existing products through Six Sigma, PPU, DOE, CQI, and Quality at the Source.
• Collaborate with manufacturing operations to maintain uninterrupted quality production.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Entry‑level experience in customer or process quality.
• Strong knowledge of problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis methodologies.
• Ability to work effectively on the shop floor and with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa analysis.
• AIAG core tools: APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP.
• IATF 16949 knowledge.
• Quality management system auditing.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Minitab or other statistical analysis tools.
• Six Sigma methodology.
• Product and Process Understanding (PPU), Design of Experiments (DOE), Customer Quality Index (CQI), Quality at the Source.
• Knowledge of web handling, laminating, and mixing manufacturing technologies.
