R&D Engineer

About the role

Baymak, a manufacturer of HVAC equipment with two production facilities in Tuzla, Istanbul, is looking for an R&D Engineer. The engineer carries out research and development from design through to mass production, working with other departments and with scientific and technical partners.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out all R&D activities from design to mass production
• Design new products, improve existing ones and create product files according to project management criteria
• Take part in design, analysis, testing, simulation and optimisation studies
• Contribute to process improvement, cost reduction and efficiency studies
• Work with marketing, production, quality assurance, planning, purchasing and logistics
• Handle relations with universities, research centres, test centres, government agencies and suppliers

Required profile

• University degree in engineering, preferably mechanical engineering
• At least 2 years of R&D experience in heating and cooling, automotive or white goods
• Very good command of English
• Team player with strong communication skills, researcher and result-oriented
• Military service completed for male candidates
• Living in, or able to live in, Istanbul's Anatolian side, Gebze and its surroundings

Required skills

• Good knowledge of CAD
• Product design, analysis, testing and simulation
