Sales Manager - Industrial Engines

About the role

Volvo Penta, a supplier of engines and complete drive systems for marine and industrial applications, is looking for a Sales Manager in Istanbul. The role drives engine sales across bus, truck and construction machinery segments, blending commercial growth with technical expertise to expand Volvo Penta's market in Turkey.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with on-road and off-road industrial customers and provide tailored power solutions
• Drive sales of engines for buses, trucks and construction machinery
• Lead the preparation and submission of bids for public and private tenders, analysing technical and commercial specifications
• Provide technical support and guidance during engine installation and integration
• Spend significant time in the field across Turkey overseeing projects and customer interactions
• Tailor product configurations, evaluate sales proposals for technical accuracy and prepare order specifications
• Visit potential clients and organise marketing activities such as exhibitions, advertising campaigns and customer surveys

Required profile

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a similar industry
• Customer-focused approach and strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently, think analytically and solve problems creatively
• Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration, including with international teams
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Flexibility to travel as required, with no travel restrictions
