Senior Accountant – Turkey

About the role

The Senior Accountant – Turkey will support all local statutory accounting, tax compliance, and financial record‑keeping for WireMasters’ Turkish legal entity. The role ensures accurate books in line with Turkish GAAP, manages VAT and statutory filings, and acts as the primary finance liaison with external accountants, tax advisors, and auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general‑ledger accounting in compliance with Turkish statutory requirements and internal controls.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments; support month‑end and year‑end close activities.
• Coordinate preparation and submission of VAT returns, withholding taxes, stamp tax and other statutory filings.
• Reconcile VAT accounts and assist with VAT audits or government inquiries.
• Support accounts payable and receivable processing, bank reconciliations and local payment processing.
• Track customs‑related costs, import VAT, duties and landed‑cost elements together with Operations and 3PL partners.
• Serve as day‑to‑day contact for external accountants, tax advisors and statutory auditors, preparing schedules and documentation for audits.
• Ensure proper use of the local ERP/accounting system and adherence to basic internal controls.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within Turkey statutory accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish GAAP, VAT and statutory tax requirements.
• Experience working with external accounting firms or auditors.
• High attention to detail and a compliance‑focused mindset.
